On a balmy Tuesday evening, after enjoying a yummy ice cream social at First United Methodist Church in Wylie, 20 plus people from the Chancel Choir toured the construction of Jericho Village in Wylie, TX. 

    This 38 unit apartment community being built by Agape Resource and Assistance center, will provide an affordable, desirable and inclusive community in Collin County. Jericho Village will offer mixed income rental homes and support services that provide individuals and families with the tools needed to retain or attain economic, emotional and physical stability.

    Our own Rev. Janet Collinsworth, is the brains behind the concept of Jericho Village, she saw a desperate need and set out to find a way to meet that need. Janet led us on a wonderful tour of the apartment homes, and the lovely Community Center. While there we were able to write blessings on the foundations of the Community Center, sing a hymn, and pray for the future residents and staff of Jericho Village.

     We also presented a “Check” for $3,578 from the Chancel Choir. These funds will be used to purchase appliances for two of the kitchens at Jericho Village.
